Jake Fromm won the state’s Gatorade player of the year award as a junior in 2015. As a senior, Fromm is a frontrunner for the national award.

It’s doubtful that any Georgia quarterback has had a better beginning than this. In Houston County’s 3-0 start, Fromm has completed 79 of 109 passes for 1,376 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is averaging 458.7 yards passing per game.

If Fromm averages just 300 yards passing per game for the rest of the season (he averaged 315.3 as a junior), he would break Deshaun Watson’s state record for career passing yards (13,077) in the 10th game and Hutson Mason’s single-season record (4,560) in the 14th game.

Here is a look at some of the state’s best individual performances from last week. Fromm’s career high for yards in a game made him a cinch for the list.
