Lacrosse: Lambert girls cruise past Harrison into state quarterfinals
KENNESAW – Peyton Smith led six different scorers with six goals and Lambert’s girls lacrosse team cruised to a 17-5 victory over Harrison on Monday in the second round of the Class 6-7A state playoffs.
Lambert advances to play Pope on Friday in the state quarterfinals.
Jenna Humphries added three goals for the Longhorns, while Ali Boisjolie, Gabby DiVirgilio, Jordan O’Rourk and Sammie Caples each scored two goals. DiVirgilio had a team-best three assists.
Morgan Berman made eight saves in goal, as Lambert caused 11 turnovers and had 12 groundballs.
