What to know: For the third week in a row the Raiders will face off with a team from a lower classification, but that doesn’t mean this game will be easy. Loganville won its first game at Monroe Area handily, 30-7, and has earned enough respect to receive 12 votes in the most recent Georgia Sports Writers Association poll to be ranked in Class 5A. The Red Devils finished 2015 with an 8-2 record before falling in the first round of the postseason. They’re led by a strong quarterback-running back duo with Cameron Perkins-McLeod under center and Darryl Giles in the backfield.
North can tie its win total from last season and exceed the total from the year before with a win. The Raiders looked like they were heading for a 2-0 start last week against former region opponent Johns Creek, but the Gladiators used a late comeback to steal a win at home. The Raiders are continuing to develop their passing game with junior quarterback Ben Bales, who zeroed in on star receiver Simon Holcomb last week. If mistakes are cleaned up they should be in for another competitive game.
