Today marks the 50th anniversary of the first integrated high school football game in Georgia. Archer, previously a member of the all-black Georgia Interscholastic Association, defeated all-white Dykes 28-0 on Sept. 2, 1966. What was the first all-black football team to win a state championship in the GHSA? (Answer Monday)

Answer to Thursday’s question: Avondale holds the record for the longest winning streak among teams in the same school system. Avondale won 46 consecutive games against DeKalb County Schools opponents from 1957 to 1966.
