Team Record: The Parkview Panthers completed its second consecutive 15-0 season and won its second consecutive state championship with a 12-7 win over Northside this past Saturday night.
Individual Statistics for this year: Johnson hit eight of 12 field goals this season and averaged 41.8 yards per punt. He did not kick the extra points this season. His furthest punt this season was 57 yards and his furthest field goal was 51 yards. In the state championship win he kicked a 50-yard field goal in the first quarter and a 25-yard field goal in the third quarter. He also launched a high punt with 2:12 left in the game that was fumbled by Northside to preserve the five-point Parkview lead.
Individual Career Statistics: Johnson has been a starter for three years. As a sophomore he was six of 11 on field goals and averaged 38 yards per punt and as a junior he was six of 12 on field goals and averaged 39 yards per punt.
Past Awards or Recognition: The senior has been named All-County this year, SchoolSports Pre-Season All-America and received an Academic Award from the county.
Grades and Extracurricular Activities: Johnson maintains a 3.8 GPA.
Possible Future Colleges: Johnson said he's received interest from several Division One schools including Auburn, South Carolina and Georgia Southern. He said he'll soon decide where he'll attend college.
