Team Record: The Wesleyan girls are ranked No. 1 in class A.
Individual Statistics for this year: Blankenship finished third overall at the Westover Invitational with a time of 19:17. She also won the Last Chance Invitational for classes 1A-3A with a time of 20:05, won region 8A and finished in the top ten at the Berry Invitational and the Gwinnett County Championships.
Individual Career Statistics: As a freshman Blankenship was not a part of the cross country team, but as a sophomore last year she won the state championship in class A.
Past Awards or Recognition: She was the Gwinnett County Co-Runner of the Year last year, was named to the Gwinnett Daily Post All-County Team and was one of the Atlanta Track and Field's Women of the Year for cross country. She was also the Wesleyan MVP last year and a team captain this season.
Grades and Extracurricular Activities: She maintains good grades according to the coach and also has played soccer for the school the past two years.
Possible Future Colleges: Coach Libby Houk said Blankenship would like to run in college and is starting to receive some interest.
Head Coach: Libby Houk Additional Comments: "She certainly raised the bar because she's the fastest we've ever had on the team. She's already set the school record, so every time she now sets a personal record she also sets a school record. She's definitely the best runner Wesleyan has ever had," said coach Houk.
