Individual Statistics for this year: Downey has won the Carrollton Invitational in 20:33, won the Berry Invitational in 19:50, won the Wesleyan Invitational in 21:33 and had her personal best time when she won the LaGrange Invitational in 19:39. The only meet she hasn't won this season was in a tri-meet with Galloway and Marist she finished fourth behind three Marist runners in a time of 20:33. She is ranked first in class AA in the rankings done by gatfxc.com and reproduced on DiVarsity.com.
Individual Career Statistics: As a sophomore last year Downey finished in the top five in all the meets she competed in and won the state cross country meet in 20:20. As a sophomore on the track team she won the region two-mile race and finished second in the region in the one-mile. At state she finished second in the two-mile and fourth in the mile. As a freshman she took fourth in the state in the mile run.
Past Awards or Recognition: The junior has been named The Northside Neighbor Athlete of the Week several times and was named the North Fulton Extra Athlete of the Week earlier this season.
Grades and Extracurricular Activities: She is an A student according to her coach and is a member of the Holy Innocents' Integrity Council, the Math Club, the Spirit Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is an active member of the Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
Possible Future Colleges: Coach Dunn Neugebauer said she is still undecided.

Additional Comments: "The best thing about her isn't her running in my opinion. What stands out in my mind is that she is a team player, she's always a pleasant person and it's a joy being able to coach her. A person like that makes your job ridiculously easy - and not just because of her results," said coach Neugebauer.
